Curious as a child, and just as impetuous, little brown bird just wants someone to explain “Who made the morning”? While most of his friends are just happy to accept it as it is, he really wants an answer. Like many a seeker, brown bird gets so involved in the search he almost loses his way. The beautiful illustrations support this gentle loving story that begs to be read aloud.

Who Made the Morning is a Christian picturebook that embodies children’s questions about God in a charming storybook format. When Little Brown Bird wonders ‘Who is God?’, her question takes her on journey farther than she’s ever been before, in a quest to learn about and thank the God who made the morning. “‘Did you find God, the maker of all the world?’ asked the chattering birds when she reached her tall, tall tree. ‘Yes,’ Little Brown Bird chirped happily. ‘God was with me in all the places I went and he looked after me. God the maker of all the world is with me all the time, wherever I go.’” The thoughtful colorful illustrations add the perfect touch to this picturebook with a resounding religious moral, highly recommended for Christian children’s libraries.

GREENSBORO, NC – March 13, 2008 – Reading aloud to children reinforces the emotional bond between parent and child while encouraging literacy development. Children who are frequently read to are exposed to the cadence and patterns of language preparing them for success in school and success as lifelong learners. Reading aloud to children also provides parents and teachers the opportunity to form Christian values in a relaxed setting.

Who Made the Morning?, the most recent release from New Day Publishing, is a story that can be read aloud to a child or read alone by a child. This story of Little Brown Bird’s spiritual journey can be read many, many times and continue to provide a springboard to discuss important questions such as, “Why is the sky blue?,” “Who is God?,” or “Who made this beautiful morning?”

Story Synopsis: Little Brown Bird wakes up one beautiful morning determined to find the Creator of the morning and to thank Him for the beautiful day. On her journey of discovery, Little Brown Bird flies higher than she has ever flown before to learn all about God who made the morning, so she can find Him and thank Him. This charming story is warmly illustrated with lovely watercolors that depict the sweet innocence reflected in the story. Appropriate for children ages 3-7.

Available directly from New Day Publishing at www.newdaypublishing.net or from national distributors such as Ingram/Spring Arbor, Baker and Taylor, or Amazon.com, Who Made the Morning? is a wonderful addition to home, school, or church library.
